We offer an initial phone consultation to assess your individual needs and match you with the appropriate therapist. Please visit our contact page to submit a request.
Once matched, we will work together to understand your concerns and create a tailored treatment plan to help work towards your goals. This is also a good opportunity for you to ask questions that you may have about our practice.
We are an out-of-network provider. We are happy to provide a superbill to all clients at the end of each month. If you have out-of-network benefits, this is what you submit to insurance to get reimbursement and they send you whatever rate your plan allows directly. We can also send you an email with questions to ask your insurance company to find out about your benefits.
Our fee ranges vary by clinician and services provided. We will be happy to discuss rates during your free phone consultation. If you are worried about finances, we also offer a limited amount of slots for our sliding scale services.
Progress looks different for everyone. We first learn about your goals for therapy and what you hope to achieve. What are your short term and long-term milestones? What are specific areas of your life, such as relationships, career, or behaviors, you hope to see forward change in? Where do you feel stuck? Uncovering these questions will help us create a unique definition of progress tailored to you and what that looks like in each area of your life.
From identifying personal strengths to developing greater self-awareness and insight, there are many benefits to engaging in therapy. Therapy can help improve your relationships, identify goals and create a plan to meet them, boost self-esteem, and reframe the way you think about yourself and situations around you. Psychotherapy has been shown to increase positive changes in the brain and body and improve work satisfaction, physical health, while decreasing sick days (American Psychological Association, 2023).
Online therapy takes place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You will gain all of the same benefits that you would in person with a therapist. Online therapy allows clients greater flexibility of their schedule and the environment in which they are talking to a therapist. In person versus remote services varies by the clinician you are matched with and is something that can be discussed during the initial consultation call.
We believe the trust built in the therapist-client relationship is essential to the therapeutic process. Confidentiality is one of the most important elements of therapy and a topic you and your provider will discuss throughout treatment. No information will be shared with anyone else, including external medical providers, without your permission. However, therapists are legally mandated to disclose certain information in cases where there is suspicion of harm to self, others, or child abuse.
Our therapists are not licensed psychiatrists and we do not prescribe medication. However, we work with clients all the time who are already on existing medications and are working with a pre-existing provider. There are many documented benefits of taking medication while engaging in psychotherapy. We are happy during treatment to help refer you to a licensed psychiatrist if this is something you would like to explore.
Individual sessions are 50 minutes and couples are between 50 and 80 minutes.
The timeline of therapy can vary, and it can depend on individual needs and the challenges you want to work through. Some clients stay in therapy for 3-6 months, while others find therapy extremely beneficial and choose to make it a long-term process. You can always discuss timing with your provider as we want you to feel comfortable and in control of the healing process.
